December 2007

It’s another 5 hours to enter into the new year of 2008. Oh well, here I just wanna write a brief summary of each month of what I’ve been through in the year 2007.
January
  • Started my new year 1 sem 2’s life.
  • Shifted from middle room to master room in C3-1-4.
  • The most IMPORTANT : I’m walking right back with God, serving Him and found a new purpose of the year.
  • Mum’s birthday!
February
  • Had little conflict with my roomie in C3-1-4.
  • Had difficulties in my Financial Info for Management (F.I.M) and Macroeconomics subject.
  • Had a great Valentine’s Night by CF at the campus cafeteria and I had one of my fav songs being played, I Don’t Want To Fight No More by Westlife.
  • Something strange happened to me starting this night.
  • Had a nuisance person nudged me through e-mails. (Until today, I still couldn’t figure it out who is he.)
  • Finally, had Tze Jian to the rescue for my F.I.M.
March
  • It’s Fui Ching’s birthday on the 1st of this month. (She is my ex-roomie)
  • Feelings are getting more confused and blur over what is actually happening to me.
  • Crazily into the song, Way Back Into Love, the soundtrack of the movie Music & Lyrics.
  • Clarene came to the rescue to my Macroeconomics, but too bad, what she had learned before was kinda too shallow compared to mine. However, appreciates it much.
  • Something weird starts to happen, yet start seeking God for an answer.
  • On the 22nd, there was a huge storm inside me, wondering hard what is happening. Hints and clues are everywhere but yet confusing and far away.
  • Things just got crazier to me towards the end of the month.
April
  • Had my last worship lead of the semester.
  • Had my last F.I.M tutoring.
  • Went for Orang Asli Mission trip on the 7th. (Last minute called up and ended up being a back-up guitarist).
  • Getting-to-know-you session with my friend.
  • Lost 6GBs of music files in my PC due to virus by Simon.
  • Had a few Q&A sessions during study week.
  • Screwed up my Macroeconomics paper.
May
  • Worked for a week with ARDCG.
  • Had a dinner date. (Was freaking nervous and scared. Oh well, it’s just a normal dinner. I just freaked myself out for nothing.)
  • Bro’s birthday!
  • Went for CF planning retreat camp in Rantau. Still holding on strong unto God.
  • Still seeking some answers which I wanted.
  • Scored a C+ for my Macroeconomics. First time ever scoring a C in main exams.
  • Started my year 2’s episode.
June
  • Started a cell group for CF.
  • Things weren’t doing really good at this month.
July
  • Life was kinda like a stock-market graph, going up and down. Unstable.
  • Went for UTAR ball on the 21st. (Hardly really enjoy it, because it was just eating a dinner and photo-takings.)
August
  • Was pretty tensed up with many many stuff.
  • Got burnt out.
  • Had my class first gathering – steamboat at Lee Kwong’s place.
  • Managed to relax a little after finishing the assignments.
  • Supposed to go to Orang Asli Mission trip, but ended up in MCA hall for friends’ graduation.
  • Went to City Harvest Church’s Youth Emerge Conference. (Don’t really like the atmosphere there.)
  • Almost give up and let go of something but did not.
September
  • Exams season again.
  • Did a stupid mistake for my Eng for Mgt paper. (Wrote too much, ended up getting an A- for it.)
  • Went to Aquaria. Haven’t got any pictures yet.
  • Lots of ‘what-ifs’ running in my head.
October
  • Went for CF annual camp. (My first time to CF annual camp with other campuses. I guess this is a pretty good camp with Ps Chris Kam from DUMC as our invited speaker for 3 days.)
  • Things changed slightly after the camp, or rather how I think.
  • Started my first short semester. (Didn’t have any in year 1.)
  • Started to be very busy with carolling. Worrying about the number in the team. Only recruited 3 at the 3rd week. Prayed very hard for the right people to come.
  • Finally, recruited 10 people into the carolling team.
November
  • Busy, busy with practices and meetings.
  • Didn’t imagine that I would be arranging songs for the carolling. Both songs, Joy To The World and Angels We Have Heard On High.
  • Didn’t imagine I gotta conduct a choir-like carol team. It has been quite some time to do some choir stuff ever since I entered university.
  • CF Musical Night 2007 on the 26th was a great success. Had the most memorable time of the year of CF.
  • Never knew that, my carolling team was called to perform for the Accounting Department lecturers’ gathering.
  • Went to Fitness First gym centre, the one at Maxis Tower, KLCC. Also my last time there.
December
  • Celebrated my birthday with friends and family. Had a great birthday time! *smile*
  • Exams time again. Don’t know how well I did this time. Just surrender everything to God.
  • Celebrated Chin Choon and Mei Ling’s birthday.
  • Got pissed off over something which was kinda ridiculous but yet made me think a lot.
  • Went to PetroSains with my friend. (Stupid me for forgetting the memory card for my digital cam. Oh well, still had the 6 shots.)
  • Was on-call to do carolling for TV3 this time. (Had to stay back last minute, with my bro staying with me for a few days. What an experience! good yet bad kinda experience. However, another sweet memory for the year.)
  • Back at home a day after Christmas. Wonderful, relaxing time at home.
  • Continue to seek God’s purpose for me in CF.
  • Back to Sg Long today, writing this post. (Did lots of cleaning and washing as usual, beginning and ending of the semester.)
Hmm…doesn’t really look brief here hehe…Might miss out some other stuff that happened, cuz I write them depending on my previous posts throughout the year. Well, at least this year I ended my year happily. Ok, with a little thoughts here and there still, though. Very tired now. Happy New Year 2008! :)
The new year 2008 is approaching in just 2 days more. It is time to prepare a new list of what I plan to achieve in this coming year. Here are some of which I’ve thought of till today.
  1. To focus well in my studies. (Hope I can score CGPA 3.3 and above before the year 2008 ends. I’m just somewhere in the border line of 2nd class upper grades.)
  2. To search my heart back right with what God has planned for me.
  3. To start planning for my research project. (I know it might be abit early but trust me, it is not!).
Hmm…only managed to get these few out at the moment. Just want to focus on God and studies. I guess there are some things which will stay as facts which I couldn’t change, so I think I’ll just have to accept them as they are. And some things which are uncertain and which made me worry all over them, and wanting to know the answer, might as well let go and stop thinking.

What happened in baby names in 2007? The results are in: Emma has finally been knocked off its number one perch for the first time since it landed there in 2004! Sophia has been making steady progress since 2002, cracked the top 10 in 2005, and jumped six slots to be the new number one baby name for 2007.

Addison jumped a whopping 20 spots this year to land in the top 10 — no doubt thanks to flame-haired actress Kate Walsh’s portrayal of Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd on the hot TV series “Grey’s Anatomy” and its spin-off, “Private Practice.”

In boys’ baby names, Aiden still rules, as it has since 2005. But Jayden, Caden, and Jackson have jumped quickly into the top 10 this year and are the new rising stars.

And here they are, in order: The BabyCenter® Top Baby Names of 2007

Top 10 Girl Names

  1. Sophia
  2. Isabella
  3. Emma
  4. Madison
  5. Ava
  6. Addison
  7. Hailey
  8. Emily
  9. Kaitlyn
  10. Olivia

Top 10 Boy Names

  1. Aiden
  2. Ethan
  3. Jacob
  4. Jayden
  5. Caleb
  6. Noah
  7. Jackson
  8. Jack
  9. Logan
  10. Matthew
Hmm…I guess some of these names aren’t really that common in Malaysia. However, I like to name my first baby girl, Danielle. I wonder whether would it sound too guyish? If it is a boy, then I would name him Ryan. If I were to choose from the list above for each, I would take Kaitlyn and Jayden.
Well, I found this on MSN.com, so just wanna post it up here. It is pretty nice to think about names sometimes. *smile*
Christmas is here! But, too bad I’m not back home again this year which I thought I would. Oh well, it is because of the live carolling I have this morning which disrupted my whole plan to be back home, baking cookies, hanging out with my friends and also most importantly, spending time with my family.
Just gonna brief a little about the live broadcast thing this morning. It wasn’t that awesome as I thought. We started off with the song ‘Joy to The World’ and medley of ‘Angels We Have Heard On High with hark the Herald!’, however the 2nd and 3rd slot, they kinda cut us off the entire songs that we’ve planned. So we ended up singing lesser than what we’ve prepared. Oh well, we can’t do anything about. Anyway, it is a one good lifetime experience to be on camera. I heard that the camera was kinda focusing on me most of the time. That’s like kinda freaking thing! I wondered how do I look. Gotta watch the recording back home tomorrow.

Got to say goodbye to my bro and Justin. Both of them pulled off suddenly yesterday on their involvement in the carolling for the TV3 program on Christmas. Justin had to go back Malacca and help out in his house shifting, wherelse my bro wasn’t feeling well because of the hectic practices we had so far. I miss my bro all of a sudden, without him beside me now. I want to go home so much, so that I can spend time with him again. And also Justin, who has changed a lot since last semester. It is really nice knowing him especially after having a bad perception and impression on him at my first CF meeting. Glad God is moving in him miraculously slowly.
Somehow, my whole entire mood just dropped devastatedly as my bro left yesterday’s afternoon. Was planning to bring him out somewhere if I have the time. I’m so not into any mood at the moment. I think I need to go to my Comforter.
Some pictures which were taken yesterday and the day before.

PROMISED CHRISTMAS CAROL TEAM. That is what we named ourselves for the TV3 commercial carolling session on the 25th December 2007. Yes, we are going on live. Ok, it is not that the entire programme will be on our singing. It will be just be about 10 mins in total that you are going to see the team on air. There are only 3 slots in between of the tv programme, Malaysia Hari Ini (MHI) for us, which is about 3 minutes each slot.

We started our practices only onTues, after having a brief meeting with some of the members with Angel. Ms Angelina was actually the one who got the contact from the TV3 producer that requested us to sing. I guess it is kinda like one lifetime kinda experience to be on TV, though it is only 10 mins out of the entire thing.

Will blog more about us soon! Need to search for some information on the net now.

Giselle lives in a forest dreaming of her one true love. Prince Edward hears her singing and they fall in love and plan to wed the following morning. His step-mother the queen wants the threat to her crown removed so pushes Giselle down a well where she enters the ‘real’ world of New York. Here she meets a divorce attorney (Robert) who is about to become engaged and his 6 year old daughter. They fall in love while Giselle waits for Edward to rescue her. After an incident with a poisoned apple and being saved by true love’s kiss, Giselle kills the queen who has turned into a dragon in order to save Robert from certain doom. Edward returns to the animated world with Nancy (Robert’s girlfriend) and Giselle stays in New York with Robert and they all live happily ever after.

I went to watch this movie on Friday afternoon with Woon Hui, Siang Lian, Alicia and Alwin. I like this movie a lot. The songs were pretty happy, except for So Close (the song which was played during the ball at the end of the show). But, I like that song too. Posted the lyrics up in my few previous blogs. Oh ya, took some other random pictures with my housemates. Here are some of them. And I got this Enchanted mirror picture taken in the cinema toilet.

Christmas Deco again…

I went to PetroSains yesterday.  It was pretty crowded there with lotsa kids by the time we went in. Maybe because it was a weekend. I couldn’t take that many pictures because I forgot to put my camera memory card back after transfering the pictures to my computer, rightaway after exams. Pathetic I know! Sigh…And I could only take 6 shots…hmmm…well, we sorta used up that 6 shots. Planned to go with my bro actually, before we go back to Ipoh after the TV3 thing. I dragged him along to Sg Long for practices haha…hope he won’t complain wanting to go home.

One hilarious thing I found out during the outing was that my friend has the same weight as me. Another pathetic fact! And he’s a guy! Either he’s skinny or I’m fat…sob sob.. But, I know I gained much weight after I entered UTAR. I was way skinny during college days. Never exceeeded 47 kgs. Sigh…gotta do some exercise and eat lesser fattening food like chocolates, cakes and ice-cream. *frown*

Yup, it’s their birthday. What a coincidence that three of us have the same birth month. Chin Choon will turn 20 on the 14th Dec (which is tomorrow), wherelse Mei Ling’s one falls on the 28th Dec. Celebrated an early one for her because we are having our semester break then.

Yay! Finally, my final exams for the sem is over again. I always feel the sudden relief and relax mind after my last paper each semester. During the whole semester, I’ll be moody at times, gloomy, or pretty frust when I need to plan my time accordingly to study, have fun and serving God. It’s pretty tough because I’m someone who can procrastinate my tasks if I want to.

Anyway, this semester is the worst stress level I’ve ever experienced. Thank God it’s over (for a while I guess). There is still another hectic semester to go. I’m having more tough subjects next semester. There are: Performance Management, Audit Practice, Company Law, Business Finance & Taxation. Oh goodness…all are mostly Accounts’ subjects. *sob sob* All sound superb hard for me. I need to pray for extra trillion wisdom upon me?? haha… Couldn’t find anything interesting to write yet at the moment since I’m still having this blurry and sleepy mind. Need more sleep, I guess.

Oh well, here are some pictures taken at Jusco Cheras Selatan yesterday. Nice decorations. I love Christmas, because all malls will be nicely decorated with Christmas decos and that makes me happy, along with nice Christmas songs being played.
