A Bad Tooth Day!

My tooth was aching till I couldn’t really concentrate in classes today. Decided to skip E-Commerce lecture to go to the dentist.

Waited for almost 2 hours for my turn. Sigh. Finally, I need to do ‘root canal’, which I was supposed to, few months back. And it was a horrible process and experience. I’m glad that Chin Choon went with me. Thank you!

I hate injections as far as I could remember the last time I had one during my visit to the dentist or doctors. As long the word “injection” appears, it will freak me out. (Was talking to one of my my ex-classmates during secondary school, and she says, “It must be hard for you. Last time you were so afraid of injections.“) Haha…Yup, I never never like injections as much as I dislike going to a dentist. I never like visiting them due to a childhood phobia when I was young. Will tell on that later.

Ok, I was terrified when I sat down. I told the dentist that I’m afraid of injection and can I have Chin Choon to hold my hand. Haha…I know. Suddenly all of you will think, “Janice?!! You sound like a kiddo, who wants her mummy.” Yes! If my mum is here, I would definitely do so. I REALLY, seriously hate injections.

Ok, done with the injections. I had 2 jabs from the dentist. Oh ya, it was the nurse who held my hand…hehe…she constantly pat on my shoulder to ensure that everything is alright. Geezz…the dentist was gentle and sweet throughout the whole process. She ensures me time to time that it’s ok too. The most freaking part was when she asked me to go for x-ray. I thought something is really wrong with my tooth. I’m like, “oohhhh nooo….” My entire body was numb and felt like fainting at that moment. Thank God, it was nothing.

Then, I just closed my eyes and let her finish her task. It was pretty long. I was like, “Please God, let the time move forward in a faster pace.” I was humming some songs (in my heart), thinking about some good times and memories. Trying not to think nor feel curious what she is going to do with my tooth. Apparently, there were lots of scissors snipping sound. I’m wondering whether she is cutting off my roots. Hee… Then, she digged real hard into my tooth. Luckily for the two jabs, else I’ll be screaming in pain for my life. The whole process took about 20 minutes. It seems like forever at that time. As if the time stops and wasn’t ticking at all.

Well, I don’t exactly know what the entire process of root canal is like because I kept my eyes shut the whole time. I’m just glad it is over for the time being. Need to go for the final treatment next Thurs. Sigh. RM300 for the two treatments for a tooth is definitely waaayyy expensive. *sobs*

Now, there is still slight pain on my tooth. Don’t feel like talking nor eating later, but I have to. I need to take the antibiotics she gave. Sigh.
