Project Gift A Kid
Saturday, December 6, 2008

Project Gift A Kid by the Rotaract Club of KL (RACKL) is a project to raise funds to buy back-to-school materials for 100 underprivileged children aged 6-15. AMBP is supporting this event and inviting all its members to join in this effort.
The beneficiary of this project is
-
Rumah WAKE 1: A home for HIV+ children and their affected siblings under the Pertubuhan Wanita dan Kesihatan Kuala Lumpur)
-
Sekolah Rendah Jenis (Tamil) Cheras: Many of the children from this school come from the surrounding low-cost flats and squatter areas. Most of them can’t afford school uniforms, let alone school fees.
We can help by:
- Blog about it (by blogging a post about this project, we’re able to send a kid to a movie for free. So to all my blogger friends out there, pls make a post out of it and send your post link here).
- Sponsor a kid (from as little as RM10 to RM150).
- Giving a loved one a material gift by sponsoring a kid on behalf of them.
- Informing your friends, family members and colleagues – asking them to spread the word.
I could help by blogging about it and spreading the word around. I think it is a meaningful event. Christmas is a day of love from God, and I think it will great to bless others on this special season.

Thanks for supporting Project Gift A Kid – your contribution goes a long way in spreading the good word and helping these kids out.
We’ll be visiting the kids of Rumah WAKE 1 (the home for HIV+ kids) this Saturday, Dec 20 at noon. If you’re free and in KL, do join us. Drop me an email if you’re interested so I can send directions.
Cheers!
